CBSE to Revamp Skill Education: External Agency to Assess Vocational Subjects from 2026

CBSE is set to revamp the assessment of skill and vocational subjects for Classes 6 to 10 by introducing an independent agency specializing in vocational education. The new evaluation system will include skill demonstrations, project-based assessments, theoretical exams, internships, and certification processes. Additionally, CBSE will revise the vocational curriculum, implementing changes from the 2026-27 session. With over 1.7 million Class 10 and 256,000 Class 12 students enrolled in skill subjects, this initiative aims to enhance credibility and industry alignment, ensuring students are better prepared for future careers.
